In some regions,when magma moves and get collected at some depth below the surface of the earth. These places are known as hot spots ,and are a source of geothermal energy. When water comes in contact with the hot spot and changes into steam. The steam gets trapped in the rock and pressure increases. When steam reaches the turbine.
